This vision inspires me, but often I have conversations with Leaders who are feeling overwhelmed, undervalued and demotivated and worse on the verge of resigning. It saddens me when I learn how passionate they feel about working in the community space, yet they are disillusioned or overwhelmed by the enormity of the task. Or I speak to newly appointed Leaders  who want to make a real difference but feel unsure how.

I've had these experiences myself.

When I first started working in Human Services, I was passionate about making a difference, but it wasn't long before I got caught up in reacting to my environment and feeling overwhelmed  and cynical about what difference I could make.

It took me many years to realise that I was unable to change my external world until I reflected on my internal one. I couldn't change the very things that I had no control over, but I could change the things I did have control of.

After many years of searching I became a coach and have since continued my study into the world of human behaviour and more recently neuro-science and the art of Conversational Intelligence known as C-IQ.

I've learnt many valuable things, the most significant one is that, I reflect the world from which I live and all the work has to start with me.

If you want to live your passion and be a successful leader then the work has to start with YOU FIRST.

This is why I created the Leading From Behind For Leaders program. While I was coaching  Leaders within the community sector, I heard their struggles, they felt isolated, were doubting their skills and a abilities, although they felt passionate about working in the community sector space, their reality was far from enjoyable. I listened and responded to what I heard.

When I coached Leaders they quickly made big shifts, felt more empowered, energised and motivated. They made significant internal shifts, changed the way they viewed the world and start seeing opportunities in challenges and had significant shifts within their staff teams, who become more engaged and motivated by the results of the work we did together.

I found out that many Leaders don't have the budgets to access one on one coaching. So with a background in developing online programs I quickly saw an opportunity to get this information and support out to Leaders in a way that was affordable and also accessible.

So a couple years ago I ran a pre-launch program to test it out! The feedback has been incredible, some of the participants have even said they would like to do the program again! We had an 80% participant rate, which far exceeds most online learning programs.

Now it is my mission to give community Leaders the opportunity and the space to consider who they want to 'be' as leaders, whilst learning some of the most up to date communication and engagement strategies available. As well as connecting with a community of like minded Leaders.

What if the program doesn't work for me? Can I get a refund?

Will there be a recording if I can't make it to the live sessions?

Yes. Each session will be a 'live' video stream, which is recorded and can be viewed at any time. You will have access to all the learning resources, handouts, powerpoint and articles and tools etc, that Sarah Moore references. Everything will be accessible through a private online accessible platform 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

How much time will I need to invest in the program to see results?

It is anticipated that the training program and some pre and post learning activities, you will  need to invest 2 hours per week.

This program is also designed to not simply present learning, but to also provide you with opportunities to apply, implement and reflect on them within your working environment.

What happens if my budget doesn't allow me to join this time.... will there be another program with Sarah?

What happens after the program ends? Am I on my own after that?

My biggest takeaway for me is that if something is not working I'm so much more effective when I remain curious. And when I'm feeling frustrated I need to remember 'it's not about me'. My relationships with my team have improved and modelling this type of communication with my team during mentor meetings or staff meetings has been good especially when they have gotten a little hot under the collar about a topic we are reflecting on.
